Welcome Ceremony for Fr. Kong Somony, SDB
Don Bosco Kep warmly welcomed Fr. Kong Somony, SDB, the first Cambodian Salesian priest, ordained on May 31.
The cultural evening featured:
Traditional Khmer dance
Indigenous minority performances
Bokator martial arts show
Fr. Somony shared his joy, saying:
“These dances are living arts passed down by our ancestors. Often, people abroad only know Angkor Wat, but Cambodia is so much more.”
