Workshop on the Voices of Indigenous Youth at Don Bosco Technical School Kep

Don Bosco Technical School in Kep Province Holds a Workshop on Indigenous Youth Voices’s Invitation by Father Harris Pakkam from Rome
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, on the campus of Don Boscok Technical School, Kep Province, a program was held on the voice of indigenous peoples in Cambodia. Initiated by Mr. Ly Samnang, Director of Don Bosco Technical School, Kep Province. This program lasts for 2 days from 27 to 28 January 2024 in order to promote the indigenous people living in Cambodia. On this auspicious occasion, Don Bosco Technical School Kep was honored. Father Harris, Director of ANS Salesian News Agency, traveled from Rome to participate in the event. Also present at the event were delegates: Mark Saludes from the Philippines, Licas.news Reporter Uti Hennecke from Germany, Don Bosco Kep Indigenous Student Donor, Sin Bonny Alumnus of Don Bosco Kep Social Communication Student and Indigenous Leader of Ratanakkiri Province Mr. Van Bophay Former Don Bosco Kep Teacher and Director of Oddar Meanchey Children’s Computer School Mr. Seng Thy, Director of Social Communication and Media Don Bosco Kep and Chea Lecturer Ouk Samian is the Head of Don Bosco Kep Information Technology and Nget Toneb is the Don Bosco Kep Communication and Media Lecturer.
Sister Quan Nita Sister Mary Sister Milli 8 Indigenous Peoples Indigenous Jarai Indigenous Tampuan Indigenous Kreung Indigenous Kui Indigenous Lun Indigenous Kavet Indigenous Peraw Indigenous Kachak 50 students from the communications and media and 10 IT departments participated. On the first day of the program, the school hosted a reception for Father Harris and the indigenous community. It is a solidarity meal as well as a cultural night. On the second day, the school arranged for the community to talk about the problems in the community, to raise their voices in the afternoon, and organized a trip for them to visit Boko National Park. At the end of the program, Father Harris distributed souvenirs to the indigenous people. Not only that, Father Harris came to Don Bosco, Kep to meet with all the students and the group of students who competed in the movie Don Bosco. In that round, the father also had ideas to educate the students and give souvenirs to the students who won the competition to encourage the students to continue their efforts.
