The 9th National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Day 2026 under the theme: ‘TVET Provides Skills, Jobs, and Income.

Kep Province Cambodia _ On Monday, June 15, 2026, students and teachers from Don Bosco Technical School in Kep Province took part in the 9th National TVET Day 2026, held under the theme “TVET Provides Skills, Jobs, and Income.” The event was presided over by Mr. Sok Ros, Deputy Governor of Kep Province, representing H.E. Dr. Som Piseth, Governor of Kep Province.

The event aimed to raise awareness among students and participants about the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), while providing information on study opportunities, skills training, and future employment prospects. TVET plays a vital role in developing human resources and promoting national economic growth.

During his remarks, Mr. Sok Ros highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in implementing the Royal Government’s priority policies with strong commitment. He also expressed gratitude to ministries, government institutions, provincial administrations, enterprises, public and private TVET institutions, organizations, associations, development partners, and especially the private sector for their continuous cooperation and support in organizing National TVET Day throughout Phnom Penh and the provinces.

He also called upon all stakeholders to:

  1. Promote greater public awareness of the importance of TVET among students, youth, parents, workers, employers, and the general public.
  2. Encourage ministries, institutions, and local authorities to support vocational and technical skills training programs, particularly for 1.5 million youth from poor and vulnerable families.
  3. Strengthen the capacity of educational institutions by improving infrastructure, training equipment, and learning facilities.
  4. Encourage development partners and the private sector to strengthen public-private partnerships, mobilize resources, and provide internship and workplace learning opportunities for students before entering the labor market.
  5. Encourage enterprises, companies, and factories to cooperate with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in providing skills upgrading, reskilling, and productivity improvement opportunities for workers.
  6. Encourage youth and the public, especially returning migrant workers from Thailand, to access TVET programs, prior learning assessment, and employment opportunities through the Ministry’s hotline 1297.
  7. Encourage parents and guardians to enroll their children in vocational and technical training programs available at nearby digital training institutions, enabling them to acquire practical skills for a stable and prosperous future.

The participation of students in this event not only enhanced their understanding of technical and vocational education but also inspired them to pursue skills that match their abilities and interests, helping them build sustainable careers and secure better income opportunities in the future.
