Kep Province Cambodia _ On july,31,2026 Don Bosco Technical School, Kep Province, organized a ceremony to distribute 5,000 tree saplings to students and teachers, encouraging them to plant the trees at their homes and within their communities. The event was attended by Father Ly Samnang, Rector of the school, along with teachers and students of Don Bosco Technical School, Kep.
Through this program, the organizers highlighted the importance of tree planting, noting that trees provide shade, absorb carbon dioxide, improve air quality, protect soil, and sustain ecological systems. Planting trees is also a vital way to help mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The ceremony aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation, expand forest cover, and promote youth participation in protecting natural resources. The saplings were provided by the school with support from the Ministry of Environment, as part of efforts to encourage green development and environmental protection.
Each tree planted today is a valuable gift for future generations.
