Cambodia Kep Province – On March 10, 2026, which falls on Tuesday, the 7th day of the waning moon of Phalguna in the Year of the Snake, Buddhist Era 2569, the Kep City Hall organized a celebration of the 13th National Clean City Day under the theme “Solidarity for a Clean City.”
The event was attended by H.E. Som Piseth, Governor of Kep Province, along with heads of provincial departments, municipal authorities across Kep Province, and many participants including students and trainees from Don Bosco Technical School Kep.
This celebration was organized with the objective of promoting hygiene, environmental protection, and urban beautification, while also encouraging participation from people of all sectors of society to work together in maintaining a cleaner and more sustainable environment. The 13th National Clean City Day was therefore celebrated under the theme “Solidarity for a Clean City.”
The program also aimed to encourage citizens, students, civil servants, and the private sector to actively participate in environmental protection activities such as cleaning public streets and spaces, planting trees, managing solid waste properly, and using environmental resources efficiently.
Through the organization of this event, it also seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining clean cities, which play an essential role in improving social well-being, promoting tourism development, and ensuring a better quality of life.
On this occasion, H.E. Som Piseth called on all citizens to participate in maintaining environmental hygiene by properly disposing of waste in trash bins, reducing the use of plastic, avoiding price increases on goods and food, and joining environmental clean-up activities within their communities.
The participation of every citizen is a vital force of solidarity in building a clean, beautiful, and livable city for both present and future generations.
