Media Communication

The Media Communication program is dedicated to equipping students with audiovisual skills and journalistic expertise over the course of two years. This program is inclusive and welcomes students of all genders. Participants who complete this training will be well-prepared for careers as photographers, videographers, video editors, news writers, event hosts, and filmmakers, specializing in commercial videos, short films, and documentaries. They will also gain proficiency in digital content creation, video motion graphics, as well as graphic design and layout.

Upon graduation, students will find ample opportunities across both public and private sectors within the Kingdom of Cambodia. Potential employers include television stations, government media outlets, commercial enterprises, and entrepreneurial ventures. Graduates can pursue various roles such as journalists, camera operators, reporters, film directors, scriptwriters, designers, sound technicians, lighting specialists, social media communicators, and event managers.

The curriculum emphasizes a practical approach, with 70% hands-on training using tools like cameras, audio equipment, computers, and video editing software. This is complemented by 30% theoretical study, ensuring a well-rounded education. Students will utilize large studios, conduct live interviews, engage in local productions, create video content, and participate in academic field trips to further their learning experience.

Curriculum: English (Grammar, Speaking, writing, Listening), Basic Computer (Ms. Office), Digital literacy (internet, Digital and Research), Mass Communication and Theory, Print Media (News/Reporting, writing, and Editing), Cinematography (Camera, lighting, and sound), Script Writing and Film Directing, Post-production for Video Processing (Editing on Software, Color grading), Media Law and Ethics, Graphic Design, General Photography, Print Media (News/Reporting, writing, and Editing), Audio Processing, Script Writing and Film Directing, Post-production for Video Processing (Editing on Software, Color grading), Newsroom Management (Practice in Studio).

admission requirement

The applicant must have finished grade 12 (either pass or fail) and must be interested in technical work.
